Emilia Clarke was watching last night’s “Game of Thrones” and freaking out, just like the rest of us
Warning: This post contains spoilers about Season 6 of Game of Thrones. But it also contains a super cute GIF of Kit Harington so if you needed added motivation to get caught up on the show, hopefully that will help.
Last night’s GoT episode, “Battle of the Bastards,” was an adrenaline-filled one. The main focus was (of course) the battle between the bastards aka Ramsey “Bolton” vs Jon Snow for control of Winterfell. Everyone knew going into this moment that one of them wouldn’t survive the episode alive. And, having already lost Jon once, most people were absolutely terrified of losing him again.
The pre-battle lead up wasn’t exactly creating more hope for a his long-lasting future with everyone agreeing they were outnumbered, Sansa begging Jon not to fall into a Ramsey trap, and Melisandre basically saying, “Yeah, you could easily die again. I don’t really understand anything right now.”
The episode has us all so worried that even his costars were biting their nails at his fate while watching just like the rest of us. After the episode, Emilia Clark (aka Daenerys Targaryen who started off the episode with a bang by getting down to some serious dragon business in Meereen) posted this absolutely adorable picture of the actor:
Her caption perfectly encapsulates what we were all thinking. She says, “And exhale. It’s episodes like tonight that make me SO ****** PROUD to be a part of BEST SHOW ON TELEVISION! Fact. ???”
Like everything Daenerys/Clarke does, this sentiment is perfect. The fact that the episode ended with the outcome we hoped for with our favorite Snow (Stark/Targaryen?) having bested the most despicable character on the show yet (#ByeForeverRamseyBolton) was a huge relief.
