Loving Ellie Goulding’s beautiful Prince tribute at Coachella

The world has been mourning the loss of Prince. Hundreds of thousands have taken to Twitter, to Instagram, and to the streets to grieve.

It makes sense, then, that the musical guests performing at Coachella also feel his loss greatly, and have taken to the stage to display their grief. And we cannot get enough of Ellie Goulding‘s beautiful, heart-wrenching Prince tribute:

“When Doves Cry” from now on will break our hearts more than it ever had in the past.

Before her show, Ellie Goulding had already mourned Prince’s passing on Twitter:

Ellie Goulding wasn’t the only musician to honor Prince at Coachella. LCD Soundsystem performed Prince’s song “Controversy” with the projected message, “From now on, this is Prince’s House” behind them. Meanwhile, Sufjan Stevens teamed up with singer Gallant to perform “Purple Rain.” Gallant had covered “Diamonds and Pearls” earlier during his own set, and many other Prince tributes were performed by Mavis Staples, Jack Ü, Joey Bada$$, and HÆLOS.

Prince, you are so missed.
