Elle Fanning is giving us literal lip service at Cannes, in this kiss-covered sundress
When we think of spring, we think of sunshine, a sweet breeze, and being outside in nature. Prairie dresses, barely-there shorts, and lots of sunscreen also come to mind. And while our spring style is surely still taking shape, we know we can always turn to Elle Fanning for some sartorial inspiration. And thankfully, this is the current case because Elle just wore the sweetest lip-print prairie dress at Cannes and we pretty much need one, like… last week.
Elle Fanning was spotted wearing the sweetest Temperley London lip print dress at the 70th Annual Cannes Film Festival, and she looks easy, breezy and beautiful.
Elle looked otherworldly in her blue prairie-style dress, complete with scalloped edges, a high collar, and a red lip motif that we are living for. And of course, since this is Elle, she matched her shoes to her dress. Her red satin Laurence Dacade sandals featured a bow — and pulled out the red lip accents perfectly.
Finished off with her long blonde hair in soft curls, and with the most subtle peach sunglasses, Elle’s outfit is what we want to be wearing all season.
As Elle says, you can never go wrong with red lips! And even though the actress opted for neutral makeup and peachy lips, we would like to think that a matching red lisptick would have looked great with this dress.
