Elle Fanning now has candy-pink “Princess Bubblegum” hair
This season, celebs have opted for short summer bobs rather than coloring their hair. However, Elle Fanning switched up her platinum blonde ‘do by dyeing it a baby pink tone. Normally, the Galveston star likes to play around with her look through fashion, but it’s nice to see her experimenting with her makeup and hair, too. Elle Fanning could very well be making millennial pink hair on-trend again.
Elle captioned her Instagram post “Princess Bubblegum.”
For those unfamiliar, Elle’s caption is a reference to the Adventure Time character, Princess Bonnibel Bubblegum of the Candy Kingdom. In the Cartoon Network show, the character is decked out in pink from her princess gown to her hair. To channel Princess Bubblegum, Elle matched her hair color with her glasses and sweatshirt.
We haven’t seen the actress dye her hair in a while (she’s previously gone chestnut brown and dusty rose). This new color brings a sense of playfulness to her whole look.
It’s rumored that Elle is dating the Handmaid’s Tale actor Max Minghella, and we all know that a change in relationship status can spark a hair change. Even though people often switch up their ‘do after a breakup, some people like to do something drastic to their hair when they’re dating someone new. Take a look at Kourtney Kardashian’s latest hair transformations and Katherine McPhee’s, and you’ll see they styled their hair differently when they started a new relationship.
Either way, we’re loving Elle’s new hair color. We can’t wait to see how she styles it on the red carpet.
