Did Elizabeth Olsen almost play Michelle Tanner in “Fuller House”?

By now, everyone knows that Ashley and Mary Kate Olsen didn’t make an appearance on the first season of Fuller House. That’s not to say they won’t make an appearance on the second season of the show — but considering their busy schedules, we won’t hold our breath (but our fingers are definitely crossed).

A rumor has been circulating about the girls’ younger sister (and incredibly talented actress) Elizabeth Olsen being approached to play Michelle Tanner. Since Elizabeth happens to look very similar to her sisters, the rumor actually made a lot of sense. At least it did make a lot of sense before Elizabeth explained what really happened (nothing, as it turns out).

At the premiere of Elizabeth’s latest film I Saw the Light, she was asked to address the rumor that she was approached by Fuller House producers to take over the role of Michelle.

“If I did, I’m pretty sure no one on my team heard it,” she told E! News “I don’t know where that started.”

It seemed like she already knew Jeff Franklin was the one who started the rumor, but Elizabeth said she “can’t say a bad word” about him because he’s “known me since I was an infant.”

Elizabeth did mention that she saw the first episode of Fuller House and said she thought “it was great,” but then also said she doesn’t want to comment on it. We’re thinking she mayyyy not be telling the entire truth about her thoughts.

So that’s that. As of now, Michelle is still M.I.A. running her fashion empire in NYC.
