This news about “Pitch Perfect 3” is really bumming us out

Elizabeth Banks did such an amazing job directing Pitch Perfect 2, we kind of assumed she’d be directing the rest of the Pitch Perfect movies for all of ever. As it turns out, we were wrong.

Banks is walking away from directing duties on Pitch Perfect 3. She’s just too busy. So as it stands, the third installment of the franchise is in need of a director.

Okay, fine. At least she’ll be reprising her role as the fantastically funny a capella commentator Gail.
