The first pics of Eddie Redmayne in ‘Fantastic Beasts’ are, well, fantastic
Here at Hello Giggles, we’re pretty excited about all the Harry Potter awesome coming through these days. Plays, movies, stories — it seems like every day there’s something new! And today we have something pretty awesome to share with all our fellow Potter fans: The first look at Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them.
The new cover of Entertainment Weekly features Eddie Redmayne in character as Newt Scamander, author of the Fantastic Beasts textbook and “magizoologist.” In the article about the film, we are treated to all kinds of exciting details!
For example, the film is set in New York City in the 1920s — Jazz Age wizards anyone? We will be learning more about the magical world in the United States, something we didn’t get to see at all in the Harry Potter series. Case in point: The photo on the cover of EW is inside the “Magical Congress of the United States of America,” aka the US’s own Ministry of Magic.
The film doesn’t hit theaters for another year (womp, womp), but at least we now have an idea of what it’s going to look like! And judging from the boss-wizard stance Redmayne is taking, with that totally awesome blue coat and yellow vest combo, we can hardly wait to find out more!
