Ed Westwick (aka Chuck Bass) still has no idea who Gossip Girl is, and what?

Okay, wait — he’s kidding, right? Ed Westwick really doesn’t know who Gossip Girl is? According to the email he sent to Josh Duboff, who authored the recently published, detailed Gossip Girl timeline for Vanity Fair, after five years of the show being off the air, Westwick is still in the dark.

But he’s Chuck Bass — one of the main players in the CW drama! Chuck Bass was the one who said, during the reveal scene in the series finale, “I mean, we all knew it was one of us, right?”

Right?!

We’d give you a spoiler alert warning before discussing this matter any further, but come on. Everyone — well, most people — know who Gossip Girl is at this point. All the characters were shocked to find out that it was Dan Humphrey, played by Penn Badgley, all along, “pulling the strings,” as Blake Lively’s Serena van der Woodsen said.

And Chuck was sitting right there on the couch, in his white tuxedo, next to Blair, while they all confronted Dan, remember?

He was right there!

Duboff wrote in his article that he had reached out to Westwick in order to get a quote about the actor’s favorite plotline or memory from filming. Westwick answered in a pretty blunt, Chuck Bass-like way.

"I still am not sure who GG was lol," Westwick wrote.

He may be lol-ing, but we’re over here omg-ing. We honestly don’t want to be the ones to tell him. Maybe one of his former costars can get Westwick on the horn to explain.

Hey, better late than never, right?
