Everyone is trying to make sense of Ed Sheeran’s return to social media, because it’s really confusing
It’s been exactly a year since Ed Sheeran took a break from his social media accounts. He posted a note on Instagram about why he was choosing to sign off for a little while, hoping his fans would understand his decision. He was just finishing up 16 months of traveling and touring around the world, so he wanted to give himself the time to relax and “see everything [he] missed.” Just as importantly, though, Ed was preparing to have ear surgery in January after he injured it from jumping off a yacht in Spain.
"I find myself seeing the world through a screen and not my eyes so I'm taking this opportunity of me not having to travel the world and see everything I missed," he explained.
We all nodded understandably and wished him well at the time, even though we knew we were going to miss him terribly. But yesterday, on December 13th, Ed has made his social media comeback — and it’s throwing us all for a spin. He posted the same picture on his Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
Okay, Ed, you wanna be mysterious, we get it (and it’s cute). But it’s causing quite a stir. People are confused and they’re starting to freak out a little bit. More than anything, we just want to know what it all means, for heaven’s sake. false false
There are quite a few out there who are convinced that they’ve cracked the code. Considering the fact that this post was done exactly a year later, down to the very minute, Ed is trying to send a particular message. Let’s not forget that his goodbye-social-media post from 2015 mentioned a third album on the way.
YALL KNOW THAT MEANS HE BOUT TO DROP THE HOTTEST ALBUM OF 2017 🔥🔥🔥👀

Something big is obviously happening, even if it’s not the brand new album. How much longer must you make us wait, Ed?!
