Ed Sheeran just revealed his favorite Taylor Swift song
It’s no secret that Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift are some of the cutest besties in the biz, and one of the most important parts in any friendship is support. In a Twitter takeover for iHeartRadio, fans asked Sheeran, and recent Gingerbread Man Records (Ed’s music label) addition Jamie Lawson, a bunch of great questions. The most important one, however, was a question we can’t believe we hadn’t thought to ask before: what is Ed’s favorite Taylor Swift song?
We know, that’s like asking to pick your favorite kind of chocolate. All of them are so good, I can’t even pick a favorite album. But Sheeran knew his answer right away, and it’s kind of surprising.
You’d expect him to pick one of her biggest hits, like “Bad Blood” or even “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” but his choice was a serious throwback, all the way back to 2010 when Tay released her album Speak Now. His favorite song from the album? “Enchanted.”
For those who don’t remember, this magical song has that catchy hook “This night is sparkling, don’t you let it go/I’m wonderstruck, blushing all the way home/I’ll spend forever wondering if you knew/I was enchanted to meet you.” Apologies for getting that stuck in your head for the rest of the day.
This Q&A revealed some other gems, like the fact that his favorite Ellie Goulding song is “Explosions” from Halcyon. Looks like he’s a longtime fan of both of his friends, and truly appreciates their work for what it is, and not just what’s popular. Not that we expected anything less!
