Ed Sheeran performed a duet with a Spice Girl and someone please hold us

Guys, he’s done it again…Ed Sheeran just duetted with a Spice Girl and now we can’t actually breathe.

In case you weren’t aware, Ed Sheeran is on a radio tour around the U.K. that seems to be designed to make our hearts weak. The singer not only dropped TWO brand new songs last week, “Shape Of You” and “Castle On The Hill,” but he then decided to turn his hand at cover versions. Or, to be more specific, covering the theme tune to the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (btw, it’s AMAZING so be prepared to swoon ever so slightly).

Well, now Ed Sheeran is at it again.

However, rather than revisit a ’90s TV show this time, the singer decided that he’d, y’know, DUET WITH AN ACTUAL SPICE GIRL.

Dropping by British radio station Heart FM, Ed Sheeran joined Emma “Baby Spice” Bunton on her breakfast radio show, where the pair gave their best rendition of the emotional Spice Girls ballad “Goodbye.”

"I could be Ginger Spice," Ed muses. "If you get me the Union Jack dress, I'll try and squeeze in it."

Now THAT’s something we’d love to see. We could totally imagine Ed doing his best Geri performance in platform boots and a tiny mini-dress.

Meanwhile, Ed recently announced the release date and tracklisting for his upcoming third album ÷ (Divide). Taking to Instagram, the singer shared the album’s song titles, and later revealed the release date for the collection as March 3rd.

What’s more, there have been Spice Girls reunions happening left, right, and center. Last year, Geri, Emma, and Mel B., announced that they were planning a reunion celebration of some kind, and on NYE Victoria Beckham and Mel C. shared a cute picture of the pair of them on stage.

Perhaps if the girls can’t get the whole band together, then, they should take Ed up on his offer…
