Ed Sheeran gave an update on his injuries and announced which shows he’ll have to cancel

Just the other day, Ed Sheeran alerted his fans about an accident he was involved in. After posting a photo where both arms looked bandaged up, he said he “had a bit of a bicycle accident” and was awaiting more information from his doctor. Since Sheeran has a bunch of tour dates scheduled well into next year, it was tough to tell whether or not he’d be fully recovered in time.

Sheeran told fans that he’d keep them updated on his progress. And as promised, he did. Using a photo of his damaged right arm, he revealed that he fractured his right wrist and left elbow.

The singer said that his upcoming shows in Taipei, Osaka, Seoul, Tokyo and Hong Kong would have to temporarily be canceled. For the shows after that, it’s going to be a “wait and see” situation.

Of course, to add a little bit of humor to a sad situation, Sheeran wanted his fans to know that the message was dictated — since he can’t play guitar, he definitely can’t type right now.

"PS - Ed isn’t typing this as he has both arms casted/bandaged," the caption includes.

As expected, fans wished him the best — it must be tough to be in his situation right now. As of now, there’s no word as to whether or not Sheeran plans to make up for the shows at a later date — but we have a feeling that eventually he’ll try hard to make an appearance in the countries affected once he’s back on his feet.
