This video of Dwayne Johnson giving his mom a house for Christmas is our new everything
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is always vocal on social media about how much he loves his family. And his most recent Instagram video from Christmas 2018 might be the best one yet: The actor surprised his mom with an actual home for the holidays, and we are full-on crying at this sweet moment. On Sunday, December 30th, Johnson shared a video of his mama, Ata Johnson, opening up a framed photo of herself with her son—along with a card. Inside, Ata received “Willy Wonka’s golden ticket” gifting her the home of her choice anywhere she wants.
Ata is clearly touched and immediately starts crying, overwhelmed with emotion. In his caption, Johnson wrote, “All our lives growing up we lived in little apartments all across the country. Lived like gypsies on the road from one state to another.”
He added, "I always say, if you got a good mama, then you gotta pretty good shot at becoming a decent human being. And somehow, somewhere along the line I became one lucky SOB to be able to make stuff like this happen."
Here’s hoping that the Johnson family makes tons of happy memories in Ata’s new house for years to come. And no—we’re not crying—you’re crying.
