Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson might run for President one day, and yeah, why not

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson might actually be a superhero. The WWE star-turned-actor can sing, dance, put a smile on anyone’s face, and now he might even run for president.

“I wouldn’t rule it out,” Johnson, 44, told Vanity Fair today. “It would be a great opportunity to help people, so it’s possible. This past election shows that anything can happen.”

We add our own addendum: … “… if you’re a man.” ?

But The Rock isn’t just any man. He’s at once every man (so relatable) and a super man (in physical strength and in heart).

The question of a potential run has come up before, and The Rock has never turned the idea down.

The Rock is currently promoting his voice work on the Disney feature Moana, is a long-time registered Republican, who often speaks of his passion for helping people.

The Rock is a proud supporter of our troops.

He makes a regular habit of stopping by nearby children’s hospitals when on set.

He doesn’t only give his time, though. He has also given thousands in contributions.

He doesn’t shy away from politics, either.

Johnson’s personality is so charming, charismatic, relatable and effusive, that if a Presidential election is a “cult of personality,” he’d be certain to rise to the top in no time.

We are such huge fans of the big-gunned actor, that we love the idea of him running for Prez. But, we’re still digesting how we feel that literally any dude with no political experience can run for President and have a good chance at being elected.

And yet, a woman who happens to be one of the best candidates we’ve ever seen, and would likely be one of the best President we would ever see — runs and gets chastised up and down for every damn thing, and unfortunately, loses.

So, we’ll root for The Rock to swoop down and save the day in classic superhero style, but man, aren’t we ready for a female takeover of this patriarchal Gotham.
