Dunkin’ Donuts is now serving donut fries, and they’re so cheap you’ll want three orders
It’s no secret that donuts are delicious in any form they come, and now, you can eat them as a fry. Dunkin’ Donuts is now serving donut fries, which means all our dreams are coming true. There’s only one catch: they’re not available everywhere. Yet.
As Grub Street reported, the donut fries — which are currently being tested in Boston-area stores only— are made of dough, cinnamon, and sugar, which sounds amazing. As part of Dunkin’ Donuts’s new $2 snack menu, they are (you guessed it), only $2 per order, so if you end up falling in love with them — if and when you get to try them — they’re definitely cheap enough to add to your usual order. And why wouldn’t you? It’s fried dough and sugar, y’all.
According to a local Boston NBC affiliate, there could be more yummy and inexpensive snacks on the way. Also being tested in those stores are pretzel bites, munchkins that you can dip in chocolate sauce, pretzel bites, cookies, brownies, waffle-breaded chicken tenders, and ham and cheese roll-ups. Um, we’ll take one of each, please.
As you may have guessed, these donut fries look amazing.
“The snacking menu features several new sweet and savory items that pair perfectly with Dunkin’ Donuts’s signature beverages and are ideal for an energizing afternoon break,” a Dunkin’ rep said in a statement to NBC Boston. “The test is designed to gather valuable feedback from consumers, franchisees and their employees to help inform future decisions about a possible national rollout.”
A possible national rollout? Yes, please. We’ll be waiting…and possibly planning a trip to Boston. Those donut fries look so good.
