Get ready to (probably) see Dumbledore in ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’
Could it really be true? Could our favorite old wizard be making an appearance in the latest Harry Potter installment, set seventy years prior in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them? According to Entertainment Weekly, the character’s name will definitely be mentioned, and we will definitely see some familiar faces.
While in recent days, more and more information has been revealed about the upcoming film, so much of it is still shrouded in mystery. For instance, the biggest bombshell was the introduction of the word “No-Maj,” the American term for “muggle.” It sent fans into a tailspin wondering if we’d even hear the word “muggle” at all in the film. That’s one mystery they have cleared up.
While Eddie Redmayne was in New York promoting another film, The Danish Girl, he was asked about the revelation, and addressed fans’ concerns:
But when it comes to seeing Dumbledore, we hardly know anything. Because of the timing of the film, perhaps we’ll get to see the wise old wizard in his younger years, and get to see the real story of his adolescence, rather than the story that was likely fabricated in Rita Skeeter’s biography.
As far as we’re concerned, any familiar face is a good familiar face, but hopefully by the time the film hits theaters in November 2016, we’ll have a liiiiitle more info.
