What happens when dudes walk around in high heels

Have you ever slipped into a pair of high heels and felt like an absolute STAR?

Like “I CAN HANDLE ANYTHING!” “I AM A BABY BEYONCE!”

The right pair of heels have the power to diva-fy but let’s be honest, every day is not a day for heels. Not at all. Not by a long shot.

Bet you didn’t know it’s still legal to make women wear heels to work in the UK? Yep. It’s a real thing. No. Seriously. Recently, in London, a receptionist was actually sent home from work for refusing to wear high heels. She complained that men were subject to no such requirement, and was basically laughed out of the room.

Well, the team over at Stylist Magazine decided the implicit sexism in the UK’s law was no laughing matter, and wanted to show the men in their office exactly what a full day in heels feels like. These brave men teeter tottered on cobblestones, courageously faced stairs, and one lionhearted male even tried to run in his heels to catch a bus. You can probably guess how that ended.

In a follow-up article, the men got serious about their amazing day in high heels. Sam Diss, a senior writer, openly admitted that he’d picked up a valuable lesson.”I guess I learned that women i) deserve utmost respect for not going mad and killing everyone for making them wear that shit, and ii) internalised misogyny is lame and everywhere,” Diss said. Lee Seymour, broadcast manager, summed it up best by saying “Heels can look great and it’s up to each woman if they want to wear them but the idea that anyone should be made to wear them is absolutely ridiculous.”

It’s great that these guys got the message that fashion is a choice and shouldn’t be a gender-based requirement. Nevertheless, the vid of them trying to survive a workday in high heels is amazing. Take a look at these cuties giving heels their best shot because while gender inequality may get old, guys in heels does not.
