The singer went hard on Saturday night, August 10th, in celebration of her 10—count them: 10—2019 MTV VMAs nominations. To thank her guests for attending, Swift lip-synced to her song “You Need to Calm Down,” and #DrunkTaylor was suddenly trending on Twitter.
Swift was surrounded by A-list friends, including Laverne Cox, Hayley Kiyoko, the HAIM sisters, Troye Sivan, Drag Race’s A’keria Davenport, and Brendon Urie, and she was absolutely feeling the love. The videos that emerged from the party were radiating so much positive energy, we almost exploded into a cloud of rainbows and sparkles. And TBH, we don’t know for sure if Swift was even drunk on alcohol. She may have just been drunk in love with her friends.
But with her sequin dress, messed-up hair, and melodramatic acting, Drunk Taylor is officially our dream party companion.
