YAS: Drunk Elephant released a tinted moisturizer that only uses clean ingredients
What if we told you that there’s an upcoming product that will protect your skin AND make it glow with clean ingredients. Behold, Drunk Elephant’s new tinted moisturizer.
The skin care line is making waves these days, with eco-conscious, beauty-obsessed celebs like Gwyneth Paltrow among their fans. Drunk Elephant’s innovative, magical BabyFacial mask and other luxurious-but-minimalist products are becoming cult faves, too.
The company’s name seems funny but it’s got a cool backstory. According to founder Tiffany Masterson, there’s a myth that elephants become intoxicated by eating marula fruit. Marula oil serves as a main ingredient in the new Umbra Tinte Physical Daily Defense moisturizer.

Umbra Sheer Physical Daily Defense came first and was so popular that Drunk Elephant made a tinted version of the 30 SPF physical sunscreen.
The daily moisturizer is created sans chemical sunscreen or “-cones” as the company puts it. It provides UV protection and guards against free radical damage with the use of antioxidants. Some of the clean, non-toxic ingredients include astaxanthin (a powerful antioxidant), raspberry seed, grape juice, and sunflower seed extracts.
From the street to the sand, Tinte has you covered.
The word “natural” is thrown around a lot these days when it comes to skin care and beauty. Drunk Elephant has an interesting take on this, saying, “We never take into account an ingredient’s synthetic or natural status, but instead choose based on its safety and bio-compatibility.”

The tint was apparently tested on a wide variety of skin tones and claims to work on them all, as well as all skin types. It’ll be interesting to find out if this is true!
