Drew Barrymore spent Christmas with her ex, and it’s #coparentingGOALS

Not all  romantic relationships are meant to last. Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman celebrated Christmas together despite the fact that they’re no longer married — and it surely meant a lot to their two girls, Olive and Frankie.

This isn’t the first time that Barrymore has shown support for her ex. Just last year, the Santa Clarita Diet star was seen cheering on Kopelman during the New York City marathon — which isn’t a typical action many take in regards to their past relationships. Barrymore has proven that co-parenting has its challenges, but with a little bit of respect and understanding, it can be easier than you may figure.

Barrymore and Kopelman were married for nearly four years. She’s been open about how painful it’s been, noting that at times she felt like a failure for not being able to make it work. “I put in my statement about divorce the word ‘failure’ because it’s so honest,” Barrymore explained to Chelsea Handler in a 2016 interview. “Like, when you get divorced, you break up with somebody and you’re like, ‘Yeah, that didn’t work,’ and you get divorced, [but] when you get divorced you’re like, ‘I’m the biggest failure. This is the biggest failure.’ It’s so shameful and hard to actually go through that, even privately.”

But with a lot of hard work, the two seem to have developed a better relationship than ever for their daughters.

From the looks of it, the two celebrated the day with large drinks and Christmas corn dogs.

Of course, they also celebrated with the girls. Barrymore shared this photo with Olive and Frankie in front of a gorgeous Christmas tree.

Olive also got a little bit of skiing time in.

Frankie and her dad even got a chance to ice skate together, as you can see in this impressive video.

Even though Barrymore and Kopelman are no longer romantically together, they’re still the ultimate couple for creating such a fabulous family memory.
