Drake is releasing new music *very* soon — here’s what we know
Apparently, Drake doesn’t have the heart to celebrate the anniversary of his birth without letting us join in on the festivities and for that, we are truly thankful. According to Uproxx, Drake will release new music in December, an announcement he made the day before his 30th birthday (which is today, btw). He also previewed the forthcoming project titled More Life by debuting four new songs titled “Fake Love,” “Two Birds One Stone,” “Sneakin’” and a remix of “Wanna Know.
Dammit, Drake! It’s beyond sweet of you to present us with new music, but we didn’t even get to buy you a birthday gift.
"I want to announce a project I’m releasing in December called More Life," Drake said during an episode of OVO Sound Radio. "It’s a playlist. I’m off…I did the album, Views was the album…that was what it was and thank you again for everybody that supported that. But I’m off, like, mixtapes."
We’re totally cool with Drake leaving the mixtapes in the past. Besides, how can we judge him when he continues to bless us with one-of-a-kind imagery like this?
Yes, y’all. It’s none other than Drake’s dad Dennis Graham, whom we absolutely cannot get enough of. In fact, we’re still waiting on Graham to drop his R&B album.
In the meantime, let’s get into how Drake plans to turn his birthday into a lifestyle.
“I want to do a playlist,” Drake said. “I want to give you a collection of songs that become the soundtrack to your life so this is More Life, the playlist. Like I said, dropping in December, all original music from me. You might hear some tunes from the family on there.”
OMG, DOES FAMILY INCLUDE DRAKE’S DAD? Because it totally should! Sorry, we keep getting distracted but that guy gives us LIFE.
Anyway, have a listen to two of the tracks from More Life below:
“Fake Love”:
“Sneakin’”:
Check out the other two tracks on the most recent OVO Sound Radio episode. The countdown to December is officially on.
Happy birthday, Drake!
