Drake threw a 2000s-themed birthday party, and he even brought back Blockbuster
Drake has been swimming in nostalgia lately—and we’re loving every minute of it. Earlier this year, Drake reunited with his Degrassi: The Next Generationcast for his “I’m Upset” video. And last night, October 23rd, Champagne Papi threw himself a 2000s-themed birthday party. To celebrate his 32nd birthday on October 24th, Drake and friends partied the night away while sipping on 7-Eleven Slurpees and rocking airbrushed kiddie Drake T-shirts. Drake even got a Blockbuster video wall for the event.
According to the Official Drake Fansite Instagram page, @wordonrd, there was also a Sandra Rose room decorated with roses and photos of Drake and his mom from the early 2000s, a Rap City booth, a 106 & Park set and photo booth, and a JayDees Connection pop up store (a classic Canadian accessories chain). Drake arrived dressed as Fabolous from the rapper’s “Trade It All Part 2” music video—chains, bandana, jersey and all.
Per his Instagram Story, Trey Songz even captured Drake whipping out a flip phone. Papi went all out. false
Just look at all that 2000s goodness.

We hope they all picked up a Drake tee on their way out.
We’re wishing Drake a very happy birthday (and we’re also praying we get invited to next year’s bash).
