Here’s how you can get a DOZEN free donuts — you’ve just got to dress up like a pirate
Arrrrg, how’d ye like a dozen donuts for you and yer crew? Because the only thing better than sailing the high seas looking for treasure is doing it with a bunch of glazed donuts.
In honor of the upcoming National Talk Like a Pirate Day — a real holiday we will 100% be celebrating — Krispy Kreme is handing out free donuts if you throw in an “aaaarrrg” or two while ordering. If you actually dress up like a pirate, a dozen free donuts will be yours.
YUP. IT’S ALL TRUE. If you show dressed as a pirate to a Krispy Kreme on Friday, September 19th, you’ll get A DOZEN FREE DONUTS.
According to Krispy Kreme’s website, you have some freedom with what your costume will be (we’re assuming you’re going full costume — go big or go home, people), but they have some recommended accouterments:

- — Bandana
- — Peg Leg
- — Parrot on Shoulder
- — Pirate Shirt / Loose white shirt
- — Knickers
- — Leather belt
- — Silver and gold necklaces and earrings
