Donnie Wahlberg left Waffle House employees a $2,000 tip, and this is not his first time being so generous

Actor and singer Donnie Wahlberg had recently wrapped up a New Kids On The Block ’90s throwback show when he walked into a North Carolina Waffle House at 2:30 a.m. with a group of eight friends. The scenario wasn’t totally ideal for the tired late shift waitstaff. Still, the employees rallied and gave Donnie and his crew great service that motivated the singer to give them quite a bit back in return.

A whopping $2,000, to be exact.

Wahlberg posted a picture of the massive tip on an $82.60 check he’d left for the overnight crew.

But the love didn’t stop there, Donnie also posted a Facebook Live where he revealed that he gifted the staff with tickets and backstage passes to an upcoming concert.

It’s not the first time Donnie has left a generous tip behind at a Waffle House. Last month the singer left a $500 tip for staff at one of the chain’s Maryland restaurants.

One of the Waffle House employees who’d been given a tip in Maryland said Donnie’s kind gesture will allow her to meet this month’s rent. “It’s a big thing for my family because we’re going through tough times,” server Angri Silen told The Baltimore Sun. “There’s no extras in my world lately.”

In fact, Donnie has a pretty big soft spot for the 24-hour breakfast joint. His Twitter is filled with late-night selfies with Waffle House crew.

And like, we can’t blame him. Their Cinnamon Praline Waffle knows what’s up. Here’s to Donnie and his thankful love for late night waffle treats.
