World’s most helpful dolphin rescues a cell phone from the ocean

You know that sinking feeling when you drop your cell phone? We’ve all felt it at one time or another. It’s the worst, especially when you drop it someplace where there’s no chance of ever getting it back. Like say, the ocean.

That very thing happened to Miami Heat dancer Teressa Cee on a recent trip to the Bahamas. According to her Facebook post, she was filming on a floating platform in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, so she asked someone to hold her phone, and he promptly dropped it. (Uh oh.)

But then something incredible happened. A dolphin popped up out of the water with Teressa’s phone in his mouth. He dropped it right in her companion’s hand and even threw in a cheerful squeaking noise for good measure. (We’re pretty sure that vocalization means “you’re welcome” in dolphin-speak.)
