Just a bunch of pictures of very good doggos celebrating the Year of the Dog

Friday, February 16th, marked the beginning of the Chinese New Year, the annual celebration of the lunar new year. 2018 is the Year of the Dog. And while the Year of the Dog refers to the Chinese zodiac, it is also the perfect excuse to look at and play with tons of puppies. So many dog owners are posting pictures of very good dogs celebrating the Year of the Dog, which is essentially our dream come true.

The Chinese zodiac runs in a 12-year cycle, meaning that if you were born in 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006, or 2018, you’re considered a “Dog.” The dog is described as “productive, enthusiastic, independent, engaging, dynamic, honorable, loyal, and protective.” These are obviously all positive qualities. And you definitely don’t need to be a dog to appreciate the photos of dogs celebrating the Year of the Dog being posted all over social media.

The greatest thing about this is that the lunar new year celebrations will be going on for about two weeks. So, yes, you can look forward to pups dressed up in their Chinese New Year best for a good while.

Behold: Some very good dogs celebrating the Year of the Dog.
