A dog got “arrested” for chasing a deer, and the photo is priceless
We all know that extremely specific look dogs give us when they’ve done something wrong. And while this Ontario-based mixed-breed pup named Finn was just being a dog, he still ended up in a fair amount of trouble after chasing a deer while off-leash.
While it’s best for dogs to be on-leash for their own protection during walks, Finn’s owners trusted him enough on the trail to have a few moments off his leash. But sometimes certain smells are just too tempting, even to the most well-trained doggo. Finn caught the scent of a deer and ended up booking it off the trail.
Emme Thompson, whose dad was in charge of Finn at the time, shared what went down after that with BuzzFeed News. She said that her dad got a call from the Ontario police, who identified Finn and told him that there was a brief altercation between the pup and a deer.
"He's an extremely fast runner and inevitably caught up to the deer where they had a bit of a scrap, he’s much smaller than a deer so it got away and he gave up the chase," Thompson said.
But Finn was still detained in a cop car. And get ready to laugh.

"I know this is serious but the sight of him in the cop car i’m alskdjfhsgh," Thompson wrote. We totally get it.
Thompson made sure to reiterate that while he committed a crime, he’s still a good boy at heart.

Thompson’s photo went viral, and one person commented back with a similar photo. It seems like a dog in a cop car is funnier than we ever could have realized.
My dog ran away and made it to a main road, a fire truck on a way to a call called 911 to have her picked up. I was laughing so hard when they brought her back I started crying. pic.twitter.com/56W95FdpB4

We hope that Finn and his humans learned their lesson and that they stay on the up and up.
