The ‘Doctor Who’ and ‘Game of Thrones’ universes are officially colliding!

We have some amazing news for this Monday morning, you guys! Maisie Williams—aka Arya Stark on Game of Thrones—will be appearing in the upcoming season of Doctor Who! Arya on the TARDIS, you guys. It’s going to be amazing.

We don’t know much about her role yet, although writer Steven Moffat told the BBC, “She is going to challenge the Doctor in very unexpected ways . . . We know Maisie is going to give him exactly the right sort of hell.”

The Doctor, now played by Peter Capaldi, could use a little hell from someone as awesome as Maisie! Last season was Capaldi’s first in the role, and his Doctor is particularly edgy. Anyone else pumped to see Maisie put him in his place?

The 17-year-old Maisie made a name for herself playing the brash and brave Arya Stark, who we get to catch up with when Game of Thrones premieres on April 12. Can we just take a moment to imagine Arya and the Doctor out-snarking each other? My heart can hardly handle it!

The iconic BBC sci-fi show is notorious for keeping plots and surprises secret, and we’re going to have to wait until this fall (!!!) to see what’s in store. Filming has already started on two episodes, both described as “period adventures.” Let’s all hope we get a few pictures from filming to hold us over until the show comes back to BBC One and BBC America!
