Apparently “Doctor Strange” MUST be seen in 3D
We can’t wait for Marvel’s Doctor Strange to come out, and we just learned it’s going to be released in 3D. (Not until November 4, but still.)
After all, why not experience the film in all its 3D glory?
Apparently, 2D is barely going to be an option (even though we’d still be MAJOR fans).
“There are sequences of the film that 3D is actually necessary to tell the dimensional story that is happening, through visuals,” said Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige to Collider. “And we’re now finding ourselves in VFX reviews going, ‘Okay we know this is perfect for 3D, this is built for 3D, but the stories gotta work in 2D so how do we adjust it so it still works in 2D?’ But the 3D is going to be amazing.”

In case you need a refresher on what Doctor Strange is all about, here’s the 411. Benedict Cumberbatch plays a superhero, aka Dr. Stephen Strange, a neurosurgeon who was in an awful car accident.
When he can’t perform surgery anymore, he becomes Sorcerer Supreme, responsible for protecting the Earth from evil villains.
By now, you probably know that the trailer’s come out and “it looks like Inception on steroids,” reported Uproxx, “with shots of the world folding in on itself like some sort of giant demented pop up book.”
Yep. We’re sold.
