DIY Paper Beads
Black and white is making a BIG comeback this season. This is good news for accessories, as they will be the best way to add a pop of color to your outfit. While you’re out spending money on new spring clothes, keep spending! Accessories like this DIY paper bead necklace are very inexpensive, giving you a cheap, handmade, chunky compliment to whatever classical outfit you throw together. Just be sure to use colorful paper like the amazing paint splatter from Wrapped to give you a look that’s messy yet sophisticated.
What you need:
- Wrapped Paper
- Mod Podge
- Ruler to measure beads
- Scissors to cut out bead shapes
- String to hang beads from measured to length you desire.
Step one: Measure/trace bead pattern.
My beads are large at 3″ long at the base. The smaller you make your base, the more delicate your beads will be. A simple triangle is your shape.
Step two: Cut out shapes.
Grab a pencil to help you roll up your beads.
Step three: Roll up beads, seal with mod podge, let dry.
Step four: String up your necklace, go be awesome.
