The Dixie Chicks are going on tour and life is beautiful
Exciting music news for your Monday! It may be almost 10 years since the last Dixie Chicks album, but the ladies are reuniting! Today they announced that the U.S. leg of their world tour, “DCX MMXVI,” is starting in June!
Our beloved Chicks have been keeping themselves busy in the years since Taking the Long Way was released. Emily Robison and Martie Maguire have recorded with Court Yard Hounds, releasing albums in 2010 and 2013. Meanwhile, Natalie Maines released a solo album two years ago. And while all that is wonderful, we’re pumped to have the Dixie Chicks together again!
Forty cities are on the schedule, with performances from June 1st to October 10th. It kicks off in Cincinnati and wraps up in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Bowl.
The U.S. leg will begin after a European tour, which starts up in April. No word on where the tour heads after the U.S. Tickets go on sale this Friday. We will be purchasing them.
