Dita Von Teese teamed up with this British designer to create costumes for her tour

Dita Von Teese and Jenny Packham are a match made in costuming heaven. The pair has reunited for Dita’s “The Art of the Teese,” which premieres tonight in Chicago! British designer Jenny Packham is used to a bit of jet-setting herself, from flying to Los Angeles to work with Von Teese, to New York Fashion Week, to heading back home to dress the Duchess of Cambridge herself, Kate Middleton.

The opening act of the tour features a costume change mid-song, during choreography. The Jean Harlow-inspired silk chiffon robe, the 2,000 Swarovski crystal studded beret, and trenchcoat for the act were designed by Packham. According to WWD, Dita commented on the gown, saying:

"Just a little beadwork doesn’t cut it, the glitz is very important. Jenny really understands the amount of glitz in putting the costume over the top."

Could Dita’s Jean Harlow-inspired robe be better than the original?

She added:

"This is even better than that famous dressing gown that I’ve been lusting after since I was a teenager."

Dita Von Teese is going to look like a sparkling diamond in this!

Dita told WWD that this ten city tour’s costumes are inspired by her personal home decor. She has retired the bright reds of previous tours and opted for shining silvers and blues.

WWD noted that this collaboration between the famous designer and Dita is a refreshing reunion since they first teamed up in 2012! During that time, Dita was rocking a fun and flirty garments inspired by Betty Grable and Carmen Miranda. We think this collaboration is a dream!

Anyone with a ticket to this show is sure to be dazzled!
