It’s official: Disneyland is getting a “Guardians of the Galaxy” ride
The rumor on Main Street, U.S.A. has been officially confirmed: TheGuardians of the Galaxy are coming to Disneyland, and SOON.
Yesterday during the Marvel panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Guardians director James Gunn dropped the big bomshell on the audience. Tower of Terror, over at California Adventure, is getting a total makeover and when it comes out the other side it won’t be about riding up and down in an elevator and screaming your head off. Instead, it’s going to be about trying to break the Guardians out of The Collector’s warehouse, and also screaming your head off.

The attraction will include the entire cast reprising their roles from the movie, so yes, you’ll get to ride a ride with Chris Pratt which is kinda a dream come true.
Also, the whole area around this new Guardians ride will be getting a makeover as well. Currently, Tower of Terror sits in Hollywood Land at California Adventure, but doesn’t really fit in with the deep space of Guardians, huh? Might we be slowly on our way to getting an entire land at Disneyland devoted to Guardians…or even bigger (and better), MARVEL? Star Wars Land is moving in next door at Disneyland so it only makes sense…
We’re just going to have to wait and see what happens. For now, though it’s very sad to say goodbye to the Hollywood Tower Hotel, Star Lord is moving in! Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: Breakout! is set to open in the Summer of 2017, perfectly timed to the release of Guardians of the Galaxy, Volume 2.
