Disneyland is getting a “Beauty and the Beast” makeover and we were born ready for this
Next time you’re visiting Disneyland, be prepared to step into a far off place, which also happens to be a tale as old as time, and a little town full of little people. Ahead of the release of Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast, the happiest place on Earth is pulling out all the stops and invites you to be their guest as they celebrate the movie’s release, and give Fantasyland an enchanting makeover.
According to the Disney Parks Blog, who first shared the news, if you can’t make it to France they’re looking to bring France to YOU with their newest additions to the park. While the framework of Fantasyland will stay as is, everything is getting a Beauty and the Beast update, from the food, to the ambiance, merchandise, and Gaston.
Instead of dining at the Village Haus Restaurant, treat yourself to the Red Rose Tavern, which will get a makeover in both the food and ambiance departments, with “each room of Red Rose Taverne [telling] a different chapter of the tale as old as time.” Nearby at Fantasy Faire Maurice’s Treats you can pick up a tasty twist with some special dipping sauce, LIKE THE GREY STUFF. Hear that stuff is delicious, and now you’ll be able to try it for yourself.
You’ll also be able to pick up a surplus of Beauty and the Beast themed ~things~ around the area, and be on the lookout for Gaston who will be roaming around, ready to flex his muscles at a moment’s notice.
There’s no official date for when this Beauty and the Beast makeover will happen, but it’s happening SOON and will only run for a limited time (probably until the last petal falls). If you want to check out this magical change with your own eyes, better star making your way to Disneyland.
