Disney World will soon have a brand new fireworks show, and we’re already crying happy-tears
If you’re the type of person who cries just LISTENING to fireworks music at Disney, then you might want to skip this next big announcement. Or, read on if you’re in for a good cry today just thinking about fireworks high over the Magic Kingdom.
Disney has just announced that they’re going to be debuting a brand new fireworks nighttime spectacular, and one that will “combine the magic of Disney storytelling, beloved Disney characters, fireworks and so much more.” Replacing their long-standing Wishes nighttime spectacular, Disney will soon launch Happily Ever After, and hold on one sec, brb, crying already.
As the Disney Parks Blog explains in their announcement, Happily Ever After:
"Will inspire guests to seek out and find their own 'Happily Ever After' by showcasing some of the greatest adventures Disney characters have taken to achieve their dreams. The show will feature the latest fireworks and pyrotechnics and original animation, plus a heart-tugging original score."
Oh, heart tugging original score, you say? This is what’s going to make you cry (you know, if you’re the person who cries just listening to fireworks music, and it’s okay to admit it. Go ahead and raise your hand if this is you ✋). Disney has released a little snipped of it so far, and prepare for some intense happily ever after FEELS.

Oh yes, yes this is good. This will make us cry. But will be cry more or less than Wishes? Like, come on, is there anything that can possibly tug at your heartstrings MORE than a small child singing, “?starlight, star-bright, first star I see tonight…?” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4aZN5AhV_oI?t=12s
