This girl showed up at Disney World with a ticket from 1994 — and they let her in
Magic is timeless. And so are, apparently, tickets to visit the magic. At least that’s what Chelsea Herline found out when she went to redeem a 22-year-old park hopper pass at Disney World recently.
The 27-year-old recently found a 4-day pass to Disney World that hadn’t been used to its full potential. During that particular family trip, the then five-year-old had gotten too sick and couldn’t join her family in the fun and festivities on the last day. The pictures she had from the family’s adventure had reminded her just how much fun it was in the few days she had gotten to enjoy the park.
When she and her family found that they still had her old ticket from 1994, Chelsea wondered if she might be able to treat herself to a fun day of play all these years later. And, to her surprise, Disney World was totally cool with it. Even though the picture looked nothing like the now all-grown-up (at least on the outside) Chelsea.
She presented the decades-old ticket and explained the situation to the nice people at the park. And before she knew it, she was happily reuniting with the playful characters that had brought her so much joy when she was younger.
According to Today, Chelsea was totally surprised that the ticket was redeemable, saying “”I was totally not expecting to go to Disney World that day.” She was delighted when they were totally nice about it and really seemed to make the most of her long overdue visit. She sported the “1st Visit” button (slightly modifying it so it was a bit more accurate to her situation, and posed catching up with all her long-lost magical buddies.
Chelsea proved she’s just as much of a kid at heart as she was in 1994 and Disney World proved that it really is the most magical place on earth.
