If you’re looking to cry at your desk today, the new Disney World fireworks song is here
Say bye-bye to Wishes, and hello to Happily Ever After. To kick off the start of the summer season, Disney World down in Orlando, Florida is rolling out a brand new fireworks show at the Magic Kingdom. While we’ve still got to wait a big to catch this spectacular in the sky with our own eyes, Disney has released a quick tease of the new fireworks song and OH WOW ARE THERE FEELS.
Because you know how it goes, one second you’re totally fine, and then the fireworks music starts up and you just start bawling uncontrollably on Main Street, U.S.A.
Wishes — or, if you need to get technical, Wishes: A Magical Gathering of Disney Dreams — has been a part of nighttime Magic Kingdom since 2003. It’s about time for a brand new show, and Happily Ever After will debut on May 12th. The show will “inspire guests to seek out and find their own ‘Happily Ever After’ by showcasing some of the greatest adventures Disney characters have taken to achieve their dreams.”
Crying just thinking about it? Well now listen to the accompanying song. Sung by Angie Keilhauer (from NBC’s The Voice) and Jordan Fisher (who you might know from the Moana soundtrack…and a little Broadway show called Hamilton), the song has that epic Disney vibe to it, and then when the music swells? Oh wow. The tears are real.

This isn’t even the full version of the song, which means there’s more, and that translates into so much crying time! Fireworks at Disney World usually run for 15 minutes-ish, so when you head to the Magic Kingdom this summer, be sure to stock up on tissues. You’re going to need them.
