These Disney movies are even better with Doug the Pug
Have you ever been watching a movie and thought to yourself, What’s missing from this movie? It needs a little something to push it from good to great. That’s exactly what Doug the Pug thought, so he decided to do something about it: add himself into the story.
If you aren’t familiar with Doug the Pug, he’s the self-described “King of Pop Culture” who’s made quite a name for himself on the Internet. His Instagram is full of no-nonsense deep thoughts, like “I genuinely scare myself when my phone opens on selfie mode” and “I’d rather fall asleep than in love.” Last year his remake of “All I Want for Christmas” had us celebrating the holidays ‘round the clock. Oh, and he’s friends with Ed Sheeran and Christina Perri.
Whenever Doug has a great idea, we’re on board—especially if it involves Disney movies! Doug has truly outdone himself this time, inserting himself into all of our favorites. “Pugs should make more appearances in Disney movies,” he (ok, his owner) writes on Facebook. And we agree.
Doug is clearly a very versatile actor, and his costume repertoire quite impressive. He sings along with Queen Elsa in Frozen, tries on a mane for The Lion King and goes on a romantic magic carpet ride with Aladdin and Jasmine in Aladdin. He goes under the sea in The Little Mermaid, swims with the fishes in Finding Nemo and makes friends his own size in Toy Story. He paints with all the colors of the wind in Pocahontas, takes a waltz in Beauty and the Beast and flies high into the sky in Up. He’s a pug of many talents, clearly.
