These are all the Disney movies that will bring a little bit of pixie dust to theaters in 2017

We’re starting the year off RIGHT with a shiny new line-up of movies Disney will release in 2017 and oh my god could we POSSIBLY be more excited? No, the answer is NO. Not only are we getting some more live-action fairy tales, which is basically THE DREAM, but we’re also getting some sequels we’ve been dying for and A WHOLE NEW animated adventure about a Latino boy — which basically checks all our boxes for what we want out of Disney in the new year.

You’d better save your holiday money, because we see a lot of movie tickets in your future…

Live-Action Beauty and the Beast

An adaptation of the Disney fairy-tale about a monstrous prince and a young woman who fall in love, starring — wait for it — Emma Watson and Emma Thompson. Two of our FAVE Emmas. It will be released on March 17th, 2017, so make sure you have room in your St. Patrick’s Day plans.

Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2

Like most Marvel films, the details of the plot are under wraps, but according to a Cinema Blend report, during the second installment in the series, we “will see Peter Quill a.k.a. Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) reunited with his father . . . [and] James Gunn’s script will hit on important subjects regarding family, where you come from, and how that affects who you are.”  Out May 5th, 2017.

Cars

According to a sneak peek from USA Today, the third Cars movie will follow this plot: “Blindsided by a new generation of blazing-fast racers, the legendary Lightning McQueen is suddenly pushed out of the sport he loves. To get back in the game he will need the help of eager young female race technician Cruz Ramirez. Proving that #95 isn’t through yet, he will test the heart of a champion on Piston Cup Racing’s biggest stage against his new rival, Jackson Storm.” Out June 16th, 2017.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man Tell No Tales

Jack Sparrow is back, and so’s his old nemesis (who’s back with a nightmarish ghost ship). Perhaps Orlando Bloom and Kaya Scodelario will return alongside him? Out July 7th, 2017.

Thor: Ragnarok

With Chris Hemsworth at the helm (playing Thor, obvs), we have the third Thor film. It’s also been said that this movie might have a touch of green, which is our way of saying that the Hulk may make an appearance. Out on November 3rd, 2017.

Coco

Based around the Mexican celebration of Day of the Dead, Coco will be about “a 12-year-old boy named Miguel who sets off a chain of events relating to a century-old mystery, leading to an extraordinary family reunion.” Out November 22nd, 2017.

Untitled Star Wars film

According to IMDB, the next installment will follow our faves as they delve further into the Star Wars universe. “Having taken her first steps into a larger world in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Rey continues her epic journey with Finn, Poe and Luke Skywalker in the next chapter of the saga.” Out December 15th, 2017.

Cruella

A live-action remake of 101 Dalmatians? Focusing on Cruella De Vil, who will be played by Emma Stone? We’re counting down the days until December 22nd, 2017.

2017, we’re ready for all the magic you hold.
