Everything We Know About Disney’s ‘Frozen’ Ride
Just in case news of a short film wasn’t enough to quench your Frozen thirst, have no fear: Disney has just announced they’re opening a new Frozen-themed ride at the Norway Pavilion at Epcot, slated for early 2016! The undoubtedly amazing new attraction will be an immersive Arendelle experience, complete with all of our favorite moments and music from the film, and a royal greeting area for Anna and Elsa to meet their guests (aka us super-fans, obviously).
The ride, which has yet to be named, will replace Maelstrom, a viking boat ride that has been running since 1988 and closes at the end of this month, and we could not be more excited. (Sorry, Maelstrom!) We don’t know much else right now, but there will definitely be appearances from all our Frozen faves, including Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf. We’re hoping it’ll basically be like “It’s A Small World,” but with “Let It Go.”
If 2016 feels like an awfully long time away, we’ve got even more Frozen news to ease the wait: “Frozen Summer Fun LIVE!” the sing-along show at Disneyland’s Hollywood Studios, has been extended until the end of September, and this holiday season, Frozen will be working its magic on the Magic Kingdom Park. From character appearances in “Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade” to a nightly transformation that turns Cinderella’s castle into an ice palace (with some help from Queen Elsa, of course), there’ll be no shortage of ways for you to get your Frozen fix.
