Hilary Duff revealed what it was actually like filming those Disney Channel wand promos
Anyone who watched Disney Channel in the early 2000s remembers the promos in which Disney stars drew CGI mouse ears with wands. Those animated mouse ears had a special place in a lot of Millennials’ childhoods.
Years later, former Lizzie McGuire star Hilary Duff revealed to Buzzfeed just how awkward filming those Disney promos actually was.
"It’s so ridiculous. It’s so funny though. So we had to do the thing and then they put it in CGI, the mouse ears. And then they made us do it, like, 900 times," Duff recounted to Buzzfeed.
Videos of Duff – and other Disney stars – filming the Disney promos without any added music or effects went viral last year, specifically because the whole process just seemed super awkward. Watching the process without the final effects were hilariously weird, just your favorite tween stars drawing doodles in the air and being VERY bored by the whole thing.

"I think I like lost all personality at that point. Plus, I was, like, a pubescent teen — I was like, 'What are they making me do, this is invisible!' But Raven Symone was nailing it!" Duff added.

Duff even attempted to draw the mouse ears again with questionable results. Don’t worry, Hilary, we love you regardless of your skills with CGI.
