Disney Channel’s reality TV show “Bug Juice” is back
Summer is almost over, so it’s the perfect time to go back to camp with Disney Channel’s Bug Juice. Yep, that’s right, Disney Channel has announced that the late ’90s cult classic docu-series is coming back, and we couldn’t be more excited to head back to Camp Waziyatah.
Bug Juice was Disney Channel’s first-ever unscripted show, which ran from 1998 through 2001. All three seasons of the original show took place at real-life camps that are still in existence, the first being Camp Waziyatah in Waterford, Maine. And that’s where the first season of the revival will take place.
Because you just can’t fake super fun summertime camp activities.

According to Disney Channel, the reboot of Bug Juice will “capture the authentic adventures of a group of kids age 10-12 as they head to summer camp, join in exciting and challenging outdoor activities, establish tight bonds with bunkmates and create unforgettable memories.”
We can’t wait to create unforgettable memories right along with them (for the second time around).
“Bug Juice took viewers on a journey of adventure and self-discovery, said Susette Hsiung, Executive Vice President, Production, Disney Channels Worldwide. “Now, nearly two decades later, we are thrilled to be back in Maine at Camp Waziyatah with the creative team from Evolution Media and many of the same crew members who produced the original series.
