Disney just told us what animated awesomeness it has lined up for us next (exxxxxxcited!)

Oh my Disney! At the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, the Walt Disney Studios just gave a HUGE presentation on their entire slate of upcoming animated movies. They don’t just have one film on the movie roster, but a BUNCH. They’ve got giants, and princesses, and The Rock — oh my.

All the movies sound amazing. Let’s dive right in and start getting excited.

Gigantic

The story of Jack and the Beanstalk has been done a hundred times already (not just by the Disney studio), but this one might be the best yet. For reals. It’s going to be an animated tale, and they’ll be singing. And what’s going  make these songs so special? They’re going to be written by the husband and wife team of Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, who are responsible for the fact that “Let It Go” will be stuck in your head forever.

The story will be about Jack who climbs a great, bit beanstalk. At the top, he finds an 11-year old giant girl. The two “hatch a grand plan,” when Jack agrees to help the giant find her way home. This will come out in 2018.

Moana

Disney princess alert, and we’re already obsessed. Moana will be about a teenage Pacific Islander princess who sets “out on a daring mission to fulfill her ancestors’ unfinished quest.” Along the way, she’s joined by a demigod. While Moana has not officially been cast, the demigod has. The role of Maui, the “once mighty” demigod, will be voiced by Dwanye “The Rock” Johnson (Who is always mighty in our book).

Mona will come out in November of 2016.

Coco

What about some new Pixar movies? How about a brand new Pixar movie about Día de Muertos, better known as Day of the Dead? Details about this one are sparse, but it’ll be about a 12-year old boy, who is named Coco. The movie is going to be directed by Lee Unkrich, and according to him, the idea for the movie comes from a simple question: “What if you could meet your long dead family members?” Well, sounds like we’re going to find out what happens in the Fall of 2017.

Toy Story 4

We’ve already got a few juicy details about this one — like that it’s going to be a love story between Woody and Bo Peep — but its director, John Lasseter, just shared some more information. According to him, the love story between Woody and Bo is inspired by his own marriage. Awww. Coming SUMMER 2017 !!

The Good Dinosaur

The next Pixar movie we’re going to see is The Good Dinosaur. It comes out in November, but Pixar is still keeping its secrets tightly under wraps. Honestly, this only makes us even more excited.

A new image from the movie was just released, and I guess this will hold us over for a while longer. It’s got three ferocious looking T-Rexs… and then one adorable green dinosaur. His name is Alro. We’re in love.

Movies we know nothing about but are still very excited about

The Incredibles 2!! Oh and Cars 3 but GUYS THE INCREDIBLES 2!! Both are in super early stages of production, and there are no solid dates for them yet. But they’re coming. Pixar is working on them as quickly as possible — but as quickly as possible while still making them phenomenal stories, of course.
