Diane Kruger’s cut-out mini dress is like a high fashion puzzle

In a bold fashion move (that totally paid off) Diane Kruger wore a cut-out mini dress that not only looked perfect on her, but also challenged our brains in a way we did not expect.

The multi-printed, puzzle-patterned dress, from Versace’s spring/summer 2017 collection, features four different sequined fabrics and an abstract, top-to-bottom cutout that somehow reveals nothing but still adds plenty of oomph and sex appeal to the frock.

Paired with the daintiest black clutch, Kruger once again proved that she’s among Hollywood’s most daring fashionistas (and she never works with a stylist — because she’s just that good).

Kruger donned the frock to attend the amfAR gala in New York Wednesday night, where she played auctioneer.

The event honored actress Scarlett Johansson and designer Donatella Versace, who have long supported the AIDS research organization. With Donatella in the spotlight, Kruger’s choice of dress was a propos.

Kruger didn’t stray too far from the runway in her interpretation of the frock. Back in September 2016, during Versace’s runway show at Milan Fashion Week, a model wore the dress with the same black sandals and a slightly larger bag.

With her short blonde locks in tousled waves, though, Kruger added her signature punch of punk rock to the ensemble.

You can catch the German actress and style icon on the cover of the current issue of German fashion magazine Faz.

And be sure to keep track of her red carpet appearances, because this woman never disappoints!
