Demi Lovato went as Selena for Halloween, looked like her identical twin
They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. That’s probably why Demi Lovato dressed up like Selena Quintanilla for Halloween. Like Lovato, Quintanilla’s career was pretty expansive — while known best for her vocals, she was also a model and actress. Known as the “Queen of Tejano Music,” Quintanilla’s life was cut short after being murdered by the president of her fan club back in 1995.
Just like Lovato, Quintanilla’s career started early. The star was only 10 when she fronted the band Selena y Los Dinos, which also showcased the talent of her siblings. So, it’s pretty fitting that the “Sorry Not Sorry” singer would be inspired to dress up like her for the holiday.
She shared this photo with her fans online, and they couldn’t get enough.
The purple jumpsuit is an item that Quintanilla helped bring to the spotlight. And it’s kind of a must-have for those who want to emulate the star.
In fact, actress America Ferrera wore something similar on a Halloween-inspired episode of Superstore this season.

Lovato has always taken Halloween pretty seriously. Just last year, she decided to dress up with her buddy Nick Jonas. The two of them went as Wizard of Oz icons — Dorothy and the Scarecrow. It was the perfect combo for the pair, who — as far as we know — are just friends.
We’re so glad that Lovato decided to portray Quintanilla this year. The two have a lot in common, and it’s always nice to remember how talented and special Quintanilla was in the music industry.
