Demi Lovato has opened up about her time away from the spotlight and thanked her fans for their support
Just as she dropped her new bop, “Sorry Not Sorry,” Demi Lovato has written a heartfelt note to her fans, and it’s actually the sweetest.
The singer has been teasing her comeback track, “Sorry Not Sorry,” for the last few weeks, and the track is one feisty response to the haters. The song is Lovato’s first new release since last year’s “Body Say,” and it comes after she announced a hiatus from the spotlight last year.
Now, in a moving social media post, Demi Lovato has opened up about her time away, and thanked her fans for their unwavering support over the last 12 months.

The singer shared how she had just gotten back from a trip to Hamburg, Germany, where she came to the realization that human beings need to be connected to one another.
“I am lucky to be in a position to have the love of tens of millions of people,” she wrote. “It’s so unreal. I look at my followers on social media and the people I get to meet during shows and just out and about, and the kindness of every single one of you continuously blows me away.”
Adding to this, Demi shared how she has decided that she was going to make a more conscientious effort to meet more of her fans and “to take more time learning about some of your personal journeys too.”

Continuing, Demi went on to thank her fans for their support.
“Thank you for allowing me to take the time I needed at the end of last year to step away from the craziness,” she said. “I’ll admit, I was worried that people would get upset with me. But what I saw was that instead of getting upset, literally every single one of you wrapped your arms around me and showed me how unwavering your love and support is. I’m so happy that I was able to come back to writing music more energized and inspired than ever, and to be able to give my all and more, to this new chapter [sic].”
Finally, Demi opened up about “Sorry Not Sorry,” explaining that the track was “an anthem for anyone who’s ever been hated on and has risen above it and come out from the other side like a fucking savage.”
