Demi Lovato officially left rehab—”in time to vote”

Today, November 6th, is officially the midterm elections. It’s a day that many of us have been waiting for since the presidential election of 2016, because it’s the first concrete opportunity we have to cast a vote in the direction of change. Today’s elections could alter the balance of power between the executive and legislative branches of government, making it much more difficult for Donald Trump to enact many of his intended (and damaging) conservative policies. Basically, today is hella important, and voting is critical.

This fact clearly isn’t lost on singer Demi Lovato, who just posted a photo of herself at the polls.

"I am so grateful to be home in time to vote! One vote can make a difference, so make sure your voice is heard!🗳 🇺🇸 now go out and #VOTE!!!!"

Not only is this post significant for its amazing social message, but it also seems to confirm that Lovato has officially left rehab (at least an in-facility program). Lovato’s mother, Dianna De La Garza, recently confirmed in an interview that her daughter reached 90 days of sobriety, and we’re so happy to see Lovato looking so healthy and happy (and carrying out a crucial civic duty).

We’re sending Demi so much love today. And remember: vote! (Not registered? You can still vote in a number of states with same-day registration—find out which states here.)
