Demi Lovato just covered Adele and gave us all the chills
Adele’s music has a way of putting into words those feelings that are inexpressible. That’s why the world goes crazy when she drops a new song, blasting it in our headphones, singing it into the mirror, and, in the case of Demi Lovato, covering it on stage. This weekend, the “Confident” singer performed at KISS FM’s Fall Ball in Seattle, and while she absolutely killed it with her own set, she also decided to cover Adele’s most recent song, “Hello.”
The crowd. Went. Wild. It was a combination of two of the most amazing things: Adele’s music and Demi’s super talented vocals. From the moment those first two iconic notes played on the piano, everyone knew they were in for a treat. I always think that there’s nobody who could do Adele’s music justice, but Demi’s voice is so powerful that she makes it all her own.
This isn’t the first “Hello” cover out there, but it’s the first celebrity rendition of what’s sure to be one of the most popular songs of 2015, breaking records previously held by Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus.
While we can expect Adele’s full album on November 20th, we don’t know if this Demi cover is ever going to happen again. Would she really tease us with a one-time-only performance? Maybe if we watch this video enough she’ll see just how much we need her to add it to her official setlist. Don’t worry, I’ve already watched it twice.
