Demi Lovato’s sheer black dress gave us vintage Cher vibes at the 2017 AMAs
She took the house down with a triumphant performance of her hit “Sorry Not Sorry,” but we are still swooning over Demi Lovato’s red carpet looks at the 2017 American Music Awards.
We were so proud and moved to see that Demi brought openly transgender politician Danica Roem as her date to the show, and the two ladies looked flawless as they walked the red carpet, which was held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
Rocking her now-signature long locks, Demi’s first look was a stunning strapless black gown with ruching which she showcased as she and Roem posed for photos. It was a sheer mermaid-style frock, and she accessorized with sparkling statement earrings and a slew of rings on her fingers. She kept her makeup neutral yet glam, a nude mani, and topped her look off with strappy black sandals.
Her hair was in loose waves and came down past her waist, giving us vintage Cher vibes with a 2017 twist.
After her stunning performance, Demi rocked pin-straight hair and changed into a whimsical, pop art-inspired gown that also reminded us of something Cher would have worn back in the ’60s or ’70s. The second dress was purple with large blue and black polka dots, and featured sheer paneling at the waist and black velvet trim along the neck. She added massive hoop earrings and looked like a true mod queen from head to toe.
Both looks were incredible, and we’re loving Demi’s vintage vibes these days. Fierce and flawless!
