Debbie Reynolds, Carrie Fisher’s mother, may have been rushed to the hospital — here’s what we know

Just when you’re like, “Well, 2016 can’t get any worse!” it goes ahead and gets worse. Supposedly, Carrie Fisher’s mother, Debbie Reynolds, has just been rushed to the hospital with her own medical emergency and we are literally sending every good vibe, thought, prayer, and hug her way right now.

According to TMZ, who first reported the news, this afternoon Debbie (who is a silver screen legend herself, best known for her breakout role in 1952’s Singing in the Rain), was with her son Todd and his house. There, the two of them were doing the impossible task of planning for Carrie’s funeral (and pause to cry for a few moments, it’s okay).

While we don’t know the actual events that transpired, per TMZ someone called 911 from the house and Debbie was then rushed to a nearby hospital for a possible stroke — IF it’s a stroke. TMZ writes that Debbie has been “distraught” since Carrie entered the hospital last Friday, and often times patients end up in the hospital thinking that they’re having a stroke when they’re suffering from stress/anxiety instead.

Clearly this has been an incredibly difficult time for Debbie, and we can only imagine what it’s like to lose a child. Here’s hoping that her condition isn’t serious, and we’re sending Debbie, and the whole Fisher family, so much love and support right now.
